Dodge City showdown at funeral

This is heretofore unimagined levels of bugfuckery. Fred Phelps ought to be taken out behind the barn and shot. Or better yet, locked up in a shed and thoroughly ignored until he chokes on his own hatred.

Did I mention that I read Alan Franken's The Truth With Jokes and it depressed me severely? Because it did. It was funny and it was good, but at the end I wanted to throw it across the room.

When I first clicked it open, I thought maybe it was an anti-war group using funerals as an excuse to gather and protest, sort of like saying, "See what happens as a result? Look at this tragedy! We'll have more the longer we stay!" (Hell, that's the sort of group I could join up with.)

Ah, asshattery in all its forms. Lizzie's right, these assholes do more to advance tolerance for normal homosexuals than all their own lobbying ever could.

Funerals I generally see as off-limits. Except for maybe a dictator's funeral, and even then I'd have qualms. But this is just unconscionable.
