I need to go get real food -- and I will even extend the definition of real food to Burger King, simply because it is cheap and it is open. why? Because I had fruit for lunch and fruit for dinner. Oh, and fruit for breakfast. Wait, let me clarify -- I had fruit and potatoes for lunch, and fruit and potatoes for dinner. You might as well just attach 'and potatoes' to anything consumed in St. Peter's, simply because they're often the only edible (and I use that definition loosely) food available. I even had fricken potatoes at breakfast. Potatoes shaped like waffles. That's just cruel.
When I get home (provided Nathan hasn't burned the campus to the ground since he was denied the housing upperclassmen ought to get) I will never complain about Great Room food again. Many different stations. Salad with a variety of dressings and toppings, and sandwich fixings, at every lunch and dinner. Paninis grilled to order at every lunch. Bread and cereal and milk and hot drinks available at all meals. Meat where you can tell what it is without having to ask, and not just because the dishes are clearly labeled. Constant pizza and reliable burgers. Eight flavors of Edy's ice cream. Friendly faces. You don't know Eden till you get kicked out into the cold, cold world.

Aww, dala, I feel your pain. When I was at Fitzwilliam at Cambridge a couple of years ago, potatoes were all I ate. Potatoes and carry out from this one Indian restaurant that was like a mile away. It made the Tofutti at my dining hall back at school seem like ambrosia.

I lived in Okinawa (island off China) for a year. The school cooked its hamburgers and french fries in fish oil. I made the guy who picked me up at the airport in LA stop at Bob's Big Boy for a hamburger before we even go on the freeway.
How long will it be before you return home?

They had good breakfasts though, if you got there before the rowers polished off everything.
