This is my DMC song. This song is DMC, specifically the fucked-up Jack/Will/Elizabeth of it all, and some Norrington and Bootstrap thrown in for good measure. I almost ran home from the pool just to upload it for y'all, because seriously, it is perfect. It even has ship/sea metaphors!

Word. You're right, this is absolutely perfect - lyrically, for one, but it's also just a stunningly beautiful song. I can't stop listening to it now, thank you so much.

Hello :) Yes, it's a terrific song; Snow Patrol in general, and that album (Eyes Open) in particular, are the It.

That album is amazing and I recommend it heartily. "Chasing Cars" was in the Grey's season finale and, I swear, I listened to it for at least four hours a day, every day, for two weeks. Their other recent album, Final Straw, is also good but not as great as Eyes Open -- except for "Run," which is up there with "Chasing Cars" and "Make This Go On Forever."
