Watched the full-length three-hour version of "Birth of a Nation" for Film tonight. Please to never again sit through a movie where I'm supposed to root for the Klan.
Yes, it was a technical and cinematic marvel for its time. But jesus gay.
And my ten AM tomorrow is cancelled, but I don't get to lie around in bed and gloat, because I figured it would be the perfect opportunity to wash some brick and oyster shell. Three lab hours down, thirty-seven more to go! *ragged cheer*
God, I'm a downer tonight. That stupid movie really put me in a rotten mood. At least now I can say I've seen it, and I don't ever have to watch it again.

All kinds of good stuff -- Casablanca, Citizen Kane, City Lights, Singin' In the Rain, Do the Right Thing, Bonnie and Clyde, Adam's Rib, The Searchers, The Godfather...this is why I can't bring myself to drop it...
