I have a question for y'all.

I use MyTunes Redux on the school's network here. I don't wish to discuss the legalities or ethics of this at the present time. What I want to know, if anybody does know -- why isn't it working anymore? Whenever I try to download a shared file, MyTunes says "Library not registered" in that little x-box-thing, and lo, the file is nowhere to be found. I just re-installed it, and it doesn't seem like this is a problem with the MyTunes program.

Soooo, is it a problem with iTunes? I downloaded the most recent version of it last week because my old version wasn't compatible with other users in the network (I assumed because they already had the new version). Because that would really suck. I only have one more year left at SMCM, and I don't want my hippie campus music well to run dry.

Anybody? Bueller?

ETA: Never mind! There's the song in the My Tunes folder, I just have to add it manually to iTunes - it doesn't show up on the MyTunes playlist. Whew. Carry on!

(Which means I just bought a whole song unnecessarily ::grumbles:: I could've used that $.99!)
Mood:: 'annoyed' annoyed

It might be your campus networking. My college had the worst trouble with networking and any other program, including the campus library's.

Hmmm. I figured it was iTunes because it worked all right this summer, but maybe they, er, did something to the network that won't let us steal music from one another anymore? I will have to ask around to see if anybody else is having problems. Thanks for the suggestion!

Aha! It does work, whether or not it recognizes the library...

Welcome! My campus did something like that after I bought my current computer (in the middle of my last year). I couldn't get the new one connected to the networking and the other two required no work. I actually had to pay a guy from the office to come to my room and type a few keys.
