GG was a repeat this week, so I watched TDS and TCR instead. TDS was pretty well on tonight; plus, Sam and Jason's adorable baby, and LeBron James beating Jon at Rock, Paper, Scissors. I thought he was pretty charming and seemed happy to be there. TCR was...well, I really hate Barry Manilow. His music, his face, his singing and talking voice...I did appreciate Stephen belting it out, though.
Okay, this feels like old school VM. Talking abut Lilly, Weevil being awesome, Veronica making an idiot of herself at the office, Veronica doing fake voices on the phone (image of V horseback...) Yay! Bring it on!
That president sounds just like Strongbad. Is it really, or is the guy just imitating him to disguise his own voice. Either way, I love the show for it. This action popped up quick. It's still the teaser.
Lilly's necklace! I don't know where it came from. I suppose it's possible Veronica picked it up when she was in Lilly's room in the S1 finale...
Gwen's Alex costume was so much better. Dude doesn't even have the eye right.
So Veronica and Logan are...Japanese? I don't get it. Oh, okay, Lilly gave her the necklace. It's still weird that we've never seen it before. Have we? I never notice stuff like that.
And idiot!Lamb. Old school keeps coming!
Ooh, Wallace's buddy is cute. Seems like kind of an ass, but I like looking. He's not from Neptune, is he?
...I've lost track of the plot already. Is Strongbad the dean's stepson? Or son? Which was it? Crap! ::pays attention::
Oh, Weevil! Fuck! I guess it's mostly about the Logan thing. I'm not totally convinced it was him, though.
The guy seemed taller than him...and most of the times she accuses him of wrongdoing, she ends up eating crow...I love the harshness between them, though. There's still some crazy chemistry though.
CLIFF! EEEEEEE! Only dogs can hear my joy.
Huge heh at Keith and Cliff as struggling actors -- also pleasantly reminds me of several S1 plotlines. Oh, okay, so that's her ex-husband, and it's his son who's dying. That shouldn't have been so hard to lose track of.
Whoa. Dean is freaking scary here. Right on.
Logan. Weevil.
LAMB.
Uh-oh. The line about the Miranda rights was priceless. And even though Logan wasn't in on it, he had to get in his little almost-twirl.
That was my favorite scene this season, by far. I might be buying this episode off of iTunes. Is VM on iTunes? ::checks on commercial:: There isn't! Damn you, CW and Apple!
Okay, obviously Weevil didn't do it. Thanks for doing Veronica's sleuthing for her, Lamb.
The two of them cracking up over the idea of Veronica trusting him was a nice touch.
Aww, poor failing Wallace. I do like that he's making friends, but I'd like to see him whine to Veronica too. Good lord, that actor is handsome.
Hee, V has an ickle fanboy! The actor's doing the spy geek thing with pitch perfection.
You can order pizza online? Seriously?! The world is suddenly that much brighter for me.
Oh my god. I love this kid so g.d. much. I am awash in glee over this ep. And an intelligent VMVO to boot.
The expression on V's face after being dissed by a pint-sized brat...delights me.
Adrian Monk! Whoever wrote this episode owns my soul. And Keith is in peril again. That was quick.
I really wish that Horrorfest thing was indeed coming to a theater near me, but...it's St. Mary's.
Keith, Lamb, and Cliff. Bus benches. Radio jingle. This is the OT3 of the adult half of VM. I can't even say much hear, I'm just listing bits of squee.
I like how Keith knew the instant intimidation would work on the dean. And then they work together. Sweet.
Bwaha! Theater vs. Film Department. And they're so creepy.
I knew it would be a cheating ring. Don't do it, Wallace! ...I guess not having the answers isn't so bad.
Film dude is hot too. And is hardcore hiiting on Logan. Thank you, VM!
Oh, Wallace, baby! That is never the answer. I just knew V is going to gave to solve the mystery of the cheaters, and it's just going to end badly.
Aha, the dean was misleading Keith. Nice misdirection there.
Wallace's prof is hot! This is too much! ...Okay, no it's not. Also, Wallace was stupid enough to get a perfect score, he deserves to get caught.
Picturing Veroinca as a Girl Scout is amusing me intensely. And this is a good resolution to the case. Clues dropped that totally passed me by on the first go, but make perfect sense in retrospect. Also, Veronica was adorable while busting the cops.
"You need to me get on my knees, I'll get on my knees." That is the kind of canon statement that writes fic, people. I don't see it, but I appreciate the line. And the dean hitting Keither where it hurts.
Johnny Cash. Seriously, who loves me?
Ha! The blond brat had it! And she essentially called v an 09er.
God, that guy was a dick. I hope he drives that convertible right off the PCH bridge. Yeah, I just went there.
And we're back to the A plot. Excellent. Just like S1. I really find the no Asians thing hard to believe, but that is a tiny, tiny quibble.
So...Claire was lying? Or he did rape her, date-rape or acquaintance-rape I guess, and didn't want to admit it? Or the guy is the one lying? Hmmm.
Honestly, this episode made me so happy, I was nearly in tears at the end. I was just pondering the reasons why this season, and in some part S2, felt so off to me. And now I don't remember them, because this ep worked so well and felt so organically VM.
