the Dalaverse

::bounces:: The director's cut of (the 2004) "Dawn of the Dead" is on. This is one of my favorite horror movies, in no small part because of Sarah Polley, who looked exactly like my friend Cassie when she was little and on "Avonlea." Sarah Polley, I mean, not Cassie. Hooray for bloody zombie movies that start off with a terrific Johnny Cash song! (Not that all Johnny Cash songs aren't terrific, but "When the Man Comes Around" holds a special place in my heart for its great biblical imagery.)

Even though I just started about six new projects, I think I'm going to make this shawl on the back of the Caron label. In green rather than white, because I was going to use the green in a blanket and then changed my mind, so I have a bunch of extra skeins.
