Abstinence programs. Funding for abstinence programs in schools.

I'm about to go apoplectic here.

If he's leading up to gay marriage somehow, I'm going to cry.

Shit.

Institution of marriage.

Oh here he goes.

My voice will be heard, bitch.

Sanctity of marriage.

Will not cry with Vanessa over there reading in bed.

I suppose that thing about 'each individual' having dignity was a supposed to be a bone thrown out. 'S not good enough.

Elections cannot come soon enough. Even if my vote turns out useless in the end results, at least I'll have made a formal stand, for the first time in my life.

Oh yeah, since fucking when are they doing drug testing in schools? What the fuck?

I think he's winding down.

I don't know if it's a good idea to stick all this out there in LJland, but I have no one else to talk to. And hell, it's my journal, after all. I'm keeping my politics quiet to promote domestic tranquility, but I'm not going to hide them.

Dunno if this is the last. May be. May not be.

It's a great comfort -- I was a bit lonely. I love my roommate dearly, but her politics just happen to be completely antithetical to mine.

I went to a friend's house to watch the State of the Union last night but couldn't figure out her TV (she has digital cable and FOUR remotes, none of which appear to work anything but the VCR). In retrospect, I'm glad. Listening to him makes me twitch. Ugh. I'm sorry you had to sit through that with nobody to rant to/scream with.

Trust me, you didn't miss much. It was more patting himself on the back than anything else. But yeah, it was painful/frustrating/nausea-inducing to actually take in that obnoxious drawl and that smug little face ::shudders::

Usually I see him and think 'monkey!', but you're right, there *is* a strong resemblence to Alfred E. Neuman. New levels of creepiness, yay!

Someone once sent me a composite picture of him and like, fifteen other chimps. And it was *so* uncanny.
Er. Not that presidential candidates should be judged on their appearance, but it's much less angst-inducing to mock his simian appearance than to think about his beliefs and "morals" with which he's trying to shape our country. Grrrargh.
