the_dala at 05:36pm on 11/12/2006Oh. My god. What have they done to Bridge to Terebithia? What have they done to one of my favorite childhood memories, a novel about friendship and love and loss and grief and growing up?
They've turned it into..."Jumanji," it looks like. Even "Narnia."
I love fantasy, especially children's fantasy. Pretty much everyone who's ever known me knows that. But the book is not fantasy. Leslie and Jesse imagine a fantasy world, but that is not the point of the story. I don't care what David Paterson says (if that's actually him on the IMDB message board, which is possible if doubtful). I'm really upset over this.
