the Dalaverse

So I was all ready to go out on the boat today, and the e-mail from Dave clearly said "underway 09-1700 on Sunday." But when I get to the marina, I see Dave's car and one other car, but the restaurant is closed and there's nobody on the boat. I walked onto the pier and yelled hello -- no answer. I walked around the marina for half an hour -- nobody. So I sat in my car until 10 and came back home, thoroughly annoyed. This is on top of generally feeling unmotivated, lonely and self-doubting all weekend. I kind of want to go back home, and I'm really missing my parents for some bizarre reason. I am definitely going home for my mother's birthday next weekend.

Oh, and the check that my mother says she put in the bank on Friday hasn't shown up in my account yet. Icing on the cake.

I am making myself a s'mores Pop Tart, curling up in bed and watching S2 Buffy I got from the library.

ETA: Why did no one tell me that Denny Doherty died on Friday? This is not helping! Now there's only one Mama left! ::cries to "Safe in my Garden"::
