Obligatory Monday night post: HEROES!!! Tonight brings us another moment from our favorite adorable Japanese time-twister: "That's how we roll." Amen, brotha.

Also, poor Barbaro. The whole situation was very, very sad.

ETA: My first thought upon seeing Bill Gates on TDS: "Dude, you'd better get home quick -- Stephen is totally trying to move in on Melinda right now."

A tangent: why oh why is it so hard for people to grasp the concept of shared religious history and identity? People of the Book, hello? If it was just the idiots on FauxNews it would be one thing, but I know plenty of folks who either don't know or refuse to understand that Islam is an Abrahamic (eh? is that a word? y'all know what I mean) tradition ::smacks them upside the head::

OH MY GOD STEPHEN JUST TOOK HIS PANTS OFF. And shook his ass. I could not love that man more.
Mood:: 'awake' awake

I cried pretty hard over Barbaro today. At work, in the break room. It's kind of messed up that I get more emotional over a horse than all the horrible human news that crawls across the screen during the news, but there it is...

When you say Stephen, do you mean Colbert? I must see this.

There's all these extra layers of manipulation and powerlessness when animals come into play, I think. And it's easier for most of us to relate to saying goodbye to a beloved animal. Last season's finale of "Grey's Anatomy" had a very affecting human death and a scene with two characters putting their dog down, and I was completely lost over the second by the time the first rolled around.

Hee, yeah, it was Colbert. He was wearing hockey boxers. Something about a bet with a Canadian mayor?

Oh yeah, GA had me sobbing at that scene. I was watching the show in my room when my roommate walked by and stopped to ask me if I was okay. "Yes...no...*snif*...Dog...and Denny...but oh, Dog!" Roommate: "...Okaaaaay."

I saw Colbert and his boxers. Whenever I watch the Report I vow to watch it more often, but I'm usually off on some creative tangent by 11:30 at night and forget to switch on Comedy Central.
