You guys. Today a woman at work brought in the Most Adorable Puppy in the World. I am not even kidding. I've seen a fair amount of puppies in my day and this one was far and away the cutest. It was an eight-week-old chihuahua-poodle mix (poohuahua? choodle?), which I did not even know was possible but now I WANT ONE. Didn't really look much like either breed, although it was really tiny -- about the size of my hand. To me it looked cocker spaniel-ish with a bit of golden retriever. Anyway, it was tiny and fluffy and white-tan and SO SO CUTE AUGH. I really miss not having something small and furry to come home and love and cuddle and play with. I am definitely a pet person, and I've recently decided that my personal definition of a pet is fairly narrow. Pet: a dog or a cat. Though I've had hamsters, fish and hermit crabs in the past, and have spent time around birds, other rodents, and reptiles (::shudders::), for me they don't fulfill the basic giving and receiving of affection requirements.
After work I went into town to do some shopping, which was a mistake because I spent way more money than I intended in Target. Food wasn't so bad -- milk, juice, cereal, those 100 calorie snack packs I heart, frozen dinners (mostly stuff I can't get from the campus store). And I very virtuously walked through the electronics section, even the $5.05 DVDS ("Center Stage," "The Ninth Gate," "Wayne's World" ::weeps::). But then I got to the books and...sometimes my id is just too quick for me. Most of the time I can battle it down and then it actually gives up pretty quickly, but today it saw a giant 30% off sticker, made me snatch the new Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants book, and raced for the checkout lanes. There was nothing I could do! ::pets pretty new book::
"Heroes" last night was awesome. That is all.

Yeah, I have no clue what I'm going to do when I go to college in the fall. I've had a Jack Russell Terrier, Ginger, for (*counts*) seven years now, and about 6 months ago we adopted two mutts from my cousin. Buffy is a cranky old (14ish, I think) mostly-cocker spaniel and Oreo is a black-and-white mutt (she's about Ginger's age, and much speculating has been done in regards to to her actual breed; current consensus is that she is part some sort of collie-type dog, part labrador retriever, and possibly part pit bull). All three of them are quite adorable. Oreo's so great for petting and cuddling. OH PUPPIES!
