the Dalaverse

The party tonight went really well. It might've struck me a little odd to be hosting an alcohol-free college party, but there was a ton of food (including piles of leftover cakes and cupcakes in the fridge). Oh, and a pinata! Which we tied to a tree outside, but then its string broke so we played pinata baseball with the handle of a broom. The end result is the same. And then we played a game I didn't know called Signs, in which each person makes up a sign (i.e. Vanessa knit her fingers together and stretched her arms, I rubbed my left arm with my right, James flailed his hands, Kat pushed her hair behind her ear), and then you go around trying to pass each other's signs across the circle without the person in the circle being able to guess who's got the sign. It makes more sense than that, and is much more fun. Yeah, I might've felt like I was in middle school again at first, but..it was fun.

Tomorrow morning I will check out the UU service and report back. And then do, you know, work and stuff. I really hope Vanessa doesn't take this the wrong way. I'm not any closer to accepting Jesus Christ as my personal lord and savior; I just want to see if I can fit some mode of spirituality into my life.
