the_dala at 01:28pm on 19/02/2007WTF? This keyboard in the library is...wrong. The keys, except for the right-hand mumbers and arrows and delete and whatnot, are in FUNNY SHAPES. What's the term for the parallelogram that's like a square except with two diagonal sides? Is it a rhombus? Because that's what the keys look like, they are rhombi. It is seriously freaking me out, even when I don't look at them -- I know they're there, being all misshapen and weird!
I hope they got this stupid keyboard really cheap. Seriously, who would do such a thing?
On the up side, lunch today rocked. There was a grilled fruit bar, with grilled pineapple, peaches, and apricots, and a couple of yogurt sauces for them. Plus pineapple-grilled ham. I stuffed myself so full I think I ought to go stretch out on the uncomfortable library furniture. As best I can, anyway. Sigh. I miss the old, raggedy, worn-out, comfy furniture. The newer junk is pretty but overstuffed and stiff.
Man, McKeldin is the king of MD libraries. And what it doesn't have, UMBC does.
ETA: Oooookay, I have requested eighteen (18) books. I think it's time to go home down, with the ten books already in my bag.
