the Dalaverse

I was having one of those almost-woken-up dreams, and in it there was somebody who had a bunch of very small, hoppy pets, including tiny rabbits and crickets, and I wanted to play with them but they kept hopping out of my hands. At one point we were walking over a bridge and a cricket hopped out of my hands into the water. It was about that point, mostly woken up, that I felt a crawling sensation along my arm. I opened my eyes to see a small black spider skittering along it.

OMG. I didn't shriek, I made a quiet version of the subject line noise and flung it frantically down to the far edge of the bed. Then I couldn't see it, so I slapped my hands down on the blankets at random, trying to kill it. Now I'm snake-phobic rather than insect-phobic, but I will kill them if i see them in my house, even spiders which kill other bugs. Even so? A bug CRAWLING ACROSS MY BARE SKIN AS I SLEEP is SO NOT COOL.

I got up, stripped the bed, and I believe I will clean my room today. Thoroughly.
