They killed off one of the main characters -- Starbuck. It's a big cast, but I mean -- STARBUCK. And it's true she might not be really really dead, but there were no concrete indicators that she wasn't. She might be a Cylon! She might be an angel of God! It's CRAZY.

one of the BSG newsletters has an interview with her that warns for spoilers. Now I want to go read the damn interview.

OH I KNOW. Even if -- I haven't read any spoilers, this is pure speculat -- she turns out to be a Cylon, or an angel or some such, the way they did it is just -- GOD. And I didn't notice it but apparently she was reaching for the eject lever -- but weren't they going on about the pressure killing her anyway, so it wouldn't matter if she ejected, she'd still be DEAD?

I need to watch that again. I just didn't see it coming, right up to the end. No "someone DIES TONIGHT" promos, no rumors, no nothing.

That's what I can't take. I'd rather know ahead of time if someone is going to die.

Yes, she was reaching for it, so it's possible she got out, but that close to the hard deck, there wouldn't be any room to live through it, would there? What about the hole in the cockpit, would that have let her adjust to the pressure?

ARGH - I want to know if she lives or dies for sure. I will say I love this about BSG, they keep the promos spoiler free.

Unlike Heroes for Monday - they keep showing someone in the previews they shouldn't show.

I loved the shock factor so much that I didn't have -- still haven't had - time to really process the fact that Starbuck, at least as we know her, is gone. I didn't know ANYBODY was scheduled to die tonight!

Yeah, that's what I was saying, that from the CAG-CIC chatter it seemed she wouldn't be able to survive no matter what.

Network TV is generally infected by stupid promo monkeys -- the WB/CW has always had the worst, most misleading, most spoilery promos, but they're all guilty at one point or another. Of course, BSG's the only show I regularly watch on cable, but still. They've got their post-credits blipvert for that -- I love the blipvert, every single time I watch an episode.

The black n' white bit at the end where Ron (I think it's Ron) continuously dies? Because I adore that part - it's perfect.

::shakes head:: I am aparently still too shellshocked from the ep to remember it's not a real word. I think I got it from the "Angel" recaps on TWoP. I mean the quick shots from the upcoming ep that they always show after the credits -- although most of the time I've forgotten about the shots by the time they actually appear, they never fail to make me really excited about what I'm about to watch.
