Okay, people. It's end of semester paper writing time, which means I have a burning desire to write about slutty pirates instead. I thought I'd try that five things meme, seen most recently over

penknife's way.

You post a topic, list, category, whatever, in my comments section.(examples: "Five Things Weatherby Swann Will Never Say," or "Five Times Jack Sparrow Got Caught Stealing", or "Five Expensive Gowns Elizabeth Swann Managed to Ruin"). Then, in a separate post, I'll post the answers to yourTop 5 ideas, according to me. Serious or fun!

ETA, unrelated: I just got an acceptance e-mail from ECU. Which means I got into every grad program I applied for. I believe I am entitled to feel a little bit smug about this.

Congrats on the grad schools! I have a great respect for people who attend grad school, really, That long in classes would have killed me.

And congratulations! ECU, as in East Carolina University in Greenville, NC? If you were going there, you'd be in my home area, as I grew up in Bear Grass, about 25 miles northeast-ish of Greenville. I worked from '91 to '98 at WNCT-TV9 there in Greenville. Just under a two-hour drive from my place here in Durham now. :)
