the Dalaverse

::breathes:: I just got an e-mail back from my friend and former housemate Michelle at VTech, and she is okay. I didn't really have any reason to think she wouldn't be, but I feel better knowing for sure. There's a gathering at the campus center at noon, and I think I'll be late to work and go to it.

In other news, the wind is still blowing crazy hard. It's like that fable where the wind and the sun compete to try to get a man to take off his coat. Except the nice warm sun has yet to appear, so all we can do is huddle. Note to self: it is a BAD IDEA to take the path along the river to north campus, where there are no trees or buildings or anything except water for the wind to blow off. It's not as churned as yesterday, though. Hopefully driving over the bridge won't be so bad.
