(no subject) [the Dalaverse]

::yawns:: I'm a good girl today. I've been at the library since 11ish. True, I've only managed to get through Bill Kelso's book on Jamestown unburied or whatever, but still. You know, I was originally going to do both Yorktown and Jamestown for this paper, but I might have to scrap Yorktown. Compared to Jamestown, what's actually there is sort of boring. (I'm looking at the two interpretations for each site -- the "real" one, i.e. the fort and the battlefield, and the Disney versions, which are off-site reproductions of villages/fort/camps with third-person interpreters.) Plus I don't have any fun pictures of Yorktown.

Anyway. Back to the grindstone. I plan to hang out here and keep reading until dinner, then wander back home until the silence-breaking at 8:15. And then probably sequester myself back in the library until it closes.

There's a new Facebook group which says the Westboro Baptist "Church" is planning to attend the funerals of V Tech students. I don't really want to click the link to check on it in the library, but if it's true -- fuck that. Apparently people have already contact Governor Kaine and the police, so hopefully they'll be able to keep it under control.

There's a new Facebook group which says the Westboro Baptist "Church" is planning to attend the funerals of V Tech students. I don't really want to click the link to check on it in the library, but if it's true -- fuck that. Apparently people have already contact Governor Kaine and the police, so hopefully they'll be able to keep it under control.

Is that the "preacher" whose "congregation" is largely his relatives (from what I've read in the past), is known for demonstrating at military funerals, and whose main doctrine seems to be that everything is somehow God's punishment to America for everything from the war, gay rights, to the fact that Sanjaya(sp?) is still on American Idol somehow?

If I was up there and had someone injured or killed in the shootings and I saw that moron? I'd give him a sex-changing atomic wedgie, then take him around back behind some building somewhere and tell him in my sweetest Free Will Baptist voice that good ol' St. Peter would like to have a few *words* with him.

And of course being a polite Southern gal, I'd wish him a nice day before he got his comeuppance.
