I feel a full-scale allergy attack coming on, I'm going to Virginia to get my diving certification this weekend, and I'm going to be camping. All three of those things cannot be in the same sentence. [livejournal.com profile] doolabug, [livejournal.com profile] monkeypuzzle, anyone -- what can I take that I can dive with? At the beginning of class, our instructor said it is generally not a good idea to dive with more cold/allergy medications, but he mentioned one. I thought he said it was prescription, which is obviously not an option at this point -- but I also thought he said it was Claritin, which is over-the-counter (and sweet cool holy relief).

I fucking hate spring. It can stay cold as it wants as long as the ragweed freezes. Right now I feel like I've just had a bad cold and a crying jag, with less headache, but that's what my body thinks has happened to it. My body is stupid.

Bleah. I cannot read any more today. Even though I didn't read as much as I meant to. I took two and a half naps and I'm still exhausted. I'd think it might be actual illness (which would also be SO NOT COOL), but the itchy eyes belie that.

Fuck all of that. I'm going to pop "The History Boys" in until TDS and then I'm sleeping. Hard.

ETA: Note to self: BUY GALA TICKET TOMORROW. Even though the stupid form doesn't say where you're supposed to send the check. Just toss it in the general direction of the business office and run, I guess. Where is my checkbook anyway? I should start paying for everything with checks, it might curb my spending. Writing checks makes me nervous on account of one time I wrote down the wrong change for my semester's books and the store called and I had to go back and fix it and it was really embarrassing.

...I'm sending myself to bed, right now.

I think it's just allergies. I felt better when I woke up this morning, and crappy again once I went outside (and, you know, sat in an open window to let the pollen blow directly into my sinuses). I'm going to try some Sudafed today and if that doesn't clear it up, then we may have problems.

Claritin and Alavert are both over-the-counter, non-sedating allergy treatments, so either should be safe to drive with
