So I'm trying to figure out if I am actually coming down with something or if I'm just sunburned (I am the second, mildly on my face, which is what's making it difficult to judge overall). And, like, are my eyes tired and squinty because I'm sick or because they've recently been flooded with lake water? Does my stomach feel unsettled because I'm sick or because I ate milk-based soup and some of Laura's questionable beef strogaoff? I know my back, thighs and arms are sore, I don't have to double-check those. Normally I would accuse myself of being a hypochondriac, but see the water was really cold, and I didn't sleep hardly at all last night because it got really cold and the ground was really hard and the dew really dripped onto my pillow from the side of the tent.

And I really have a giant senior seminar presentation that I haven't finished the reading for tomorrow, and ditto for the paper/presentation due Tuesday. I might get to my weekend of diving certification after that (it was much more fun than I'm making it sound, I'm just feeling like crap right now). Remix went up while I was gone and that's awesome, but I can't give it the attention it deserves at the moment.

I think I will crawl into bed, let the Advil kick in (I chose it over the Sudafed because it covers more symptoms), and then work my ass off later tonight and all tomorrow morning. Class isn't until 1:20, and even if I really am sick and do have to bail on the presentation, I can't go crying to Daugherty without at least being able to fake having finished it.
Mood:: 'crappy' crappy

Two of the times I was ever really bad sick came from camping in April and from swimming in a lake. The camping, I didn't have enough covers, so I was cold and miserable the whole time, then got sick two days later. The swimming, it was cold AND I inhaled a whole noseful of undoubtedly germ-riddled water, and got sick the next day. Both times I thought it was just the activity that did it to me, at first ...
