I'd originally ETA'd this to my post from last night, but I would like to bubble it up to the top.

[livejournal.com profile] thevelvetsun has posted an open letter to LJ requesting the deletion of the largest pro-anorexia community (after multiple by-the-book complaints have been ignored or brushed off, apparently for some time). You can comment/sign to show your support. She's also looking for media contacts to try and take this story to a wider audience if LJ continues to ignore it.


Complete tangent: I've seen people mention posting simultaneously to multiple journals by using Semagic. Now I've got Semagic and I just updated it, but can't figure out how to do this. Is there another version I can download? This one only has my LJ connections listed.

Thanks for reposting this. I've been staying on the fringes of the entire business and trying not to click links I know will make me angry, but your post last night got me really furious in a way nothing else in the whole mess has come close to. I'm just glad there are others rational enough to write well-reasoned things like this letter.

You're welcome. This has gone far beyond a mere fandom debate; there are many things for which LJ needs to be held accountable if they're going to claim jurisdiction over one or two.

It's a pretty convenient thing! Although you have to go in and change the icons on the other two sites if you want a particular one. At least, that's my experience, so far.
