I am desperately excited about this movie. First off, much as I love the musician-with-internal-demonds-makes-good movies (real or fictional), they are ripe for parody. Second - John C. Reilly! He is hilarious and awesome and also sings really, really well. It looks much better than the stale genre parodies they've been trotting out the past few years, and I hope it is.

I'm hoping John C. Reilly and Judd Apatow can deliver. And I fully expect everyone who's ever been in any of their movies to pop in for a cameo. I am a cameo whore.
