So today we separated into our programmes and met our fellow MA students and yada yada because - you guys -
One of my professors looks like Jack Davenport.1
I am not EVEN KIDDING. I thought he was a postgrad when he walked into the introductory lecture, and I sort of leered at him a little. Ten minutes later, I find out that he is not only one of the professors, but one of the maritime professors. Eventually I was able to look at him again. I imagine it'll get easier, but at first it was like staring directly into the sun, if sunspots were giggle fits.
::shakes head:: Okay. Shutting up over that now. I'm so excited about the programme and the people I'll be working with. There are a whopping thirty MA students this year, which I believe is a record. I chatted with a lot of people, but clicked in particular with a girl named Marissa, who's from Florida. Then a group of us walked back to Glen Eyre together, including a delicious Greek boy with a delicious Greek name that I cannot now remember. Oh, he is lovely. We're all meeting up at the uni pub in a bit.
I think my mind has been finally set at ease with regards to TAMU. Southampton is going to be amazing. Yay me!
