I don't know what else to do. I went through all of the Fs and ran a diagnostic search, and it turned up nothing wrong. I tried System Restore for two different dates in October as I'm pretty sure the problems began in November, and neither of them worked - not worked as in fixed the problems, but worked at all. I can't find any sort of Windows repair function. I don't have a disc, and my dad says he asked a computer-savvy coworker if I could use the old XP disc from the desktop to reinstall and that person said no, it wouldn't work because the drivers are different.

What. Can. I. Do.

Other than take it into town and have professionals charge me a fee I cannot afford?

ETA: Am feeling marginally less homicidal/suicidal after hitting the Shell station on the corner for a junk food run. More specifically, Food That Tastes Exactly LIke It's Supposed To. A carton of Cherry Garcia (bonus points for being named after an American icon); a can of Pringles; a Coke; a giant KitKat 'Chunky' bar (we all know it's really a Big Kat); Cadbury Mini Eggs (which, granted, are English but are also my Eastertide staple candy); and a variety pack of Kellogg cereals. I tell you what, the only thing that makes Cherry Garcia more delicious is some Cocoa Krispies crumbled in (THEY ARE NOT COCO POPS, COCOA POPS ARE BALL-SHAPED, THEY'RE CHOCOLATE RICE KRISPIES FOR GOD'S SAKE!)

Now I'm going to chill and watch "The Wish." Now that is how you do AU. 'How do you know the other world is any better than this?' 'Because it has to be.' Just realized how much Beckett's death scene reminds me of the slo-mo stuff at the end of this ep - maybe Gore is a fan. I'm so glad I saved S3 for last in my rewatch. It has Faith and Mayor and SMG still had flesh on her bones, ergo it wins.
