::squirms:: So because National Express/National Rail/Southampton sucks, my coach to Heathrow leaves from the uni at 00:05 (it took me an inordinate amount of time to figure out that that meant five minutes past midnight. I'M RIGHT, RIGHT?!). After it sits down at the quay for an hour, of course. It should get to Heathrow around 3 am, and then my flight is at 7:05. This is actually not unreasonable because I'm a paranoid freak who likes to be four hours early for a flight, except for the obvious fact that it'll be THREE O'CLOCK IN THE MORNING.
So basically, I've spent all of today pretending that today doesn't exist. If I can just forget it really happened, it won't really be like I've been up for forty-eight hours in a row. I did take a two-hour nap this afternoon; however, the positive effects of this were probably mitigated by the fact that I woke up at 7:30 of my own volition, after being tumbled out of bed by the incredibly loud and annoying fire alarm at 3:15 (I realize they're not supposed to be subtle, but honestly, it sounds like a freaking air raid siren. Thank god I wasn't having a dream set in WWII Europe).
Oh well, at least I'm packed except for the laptop, which is beating my average by a mile. I managed to stuff everything in the small suitcase by virtue of the fact that most of my laundry is dirty. I took the aforementioned nap, finished a novel, returned some books to the library and watched four episodes of TDS/TCR and twelve episodes of 'How I Met Your Mother' (speaking of which, I am not at all sure how I feel about this Britney spears thing). I'll probably leave for the bus stop in an hour, and now all I have to do is twiddle my thumbs in anticipated of a good 20 hours of transit.
ETA: Thirteen episodes of HIMYM. 'Slapsgiving' = instant top ten episode of television ever (no, I haven't seen 'The Slap Bet' yet, so I may do a switcheroo). And if there is any kind of higher power in the universe, someone has an mp3 of 'You Just Got Slapped.' That's what I want for my birthday instead of a Jack Davenport on a pony.

ALSO! I got the package! :D :D :D Thank you so much! I'm trying to ration the Crunchie bars, but I keep nomming on them anyway. SO GOOD. And the jelly things are weird, but tasty. I keep expecting them to have some sort of goo inside, but they don't! :D And I had the peach tea this morning, which was kickass.

OHMYGOSH tomorrow's going to suck. I'm so sorry! Blehh. Drink coffee/tea and eat semi-regularly to keep up your blood sugar and help you stay awake for the times when you need to stay awake. You'll be losing like... six hours? Five hours? Thinking about the math of when you'll get to bed and wake up USA time vs. UK time makes my brain hurt, so I won't. But I hope you get it all figured out and have a very restful holiday with your family! And happy birthday soon!
