Top Five People I Miss Seeing on My TV Every Week*:
1. Lauren Graham
2. Kelly Bishop
3. Anthony Stewart Head
4. Kristen Bell ('Heroes' has been off long enough and I love VM enough that it counts)
5. Seth Green
6. David Cross
7. Liza Weil
8. Brittany Snow
9. Jeffrey Dean Morgan**
10. Alex O'Loughlin (preemptive missing)
One thing that's cheering me up is the trailer for Step Brothers. The bunkbeds make me laugh and laugh and laugh. I will love Will Ferrell forever, and John C. Reilly is 40% of the reason why 'Talladega Nights' is my favorite comedy of his***. Sacha Baron Cohen is the remaining 60%. I still think the news footage of him reading The Stranger in his racecar while 'Paint It, Black' in French plays in the background is one of the funniest things ever committed to film. It's the little touches.
*in random order except for the first two
**two recurring roles count as one principle role. And even though I don't much like John Winchester.
***dumb man-child comedy, I mean. 'Elf' and 'Stranger Than Fiction' don't count.
ETA: I can't shoehorn it into the paper so I'll have to add it here - LIONEL CASSON FLAGRANTLY ABUSES THE CONCEPT OF THE FOOTNOTE ::grumbles:: Without the footnotes this book would be like thirty pages. But props for frequent use of the word 'brobdingnagian' in describing all sorts of ancient vessels.
