Am officially addicted to 'True Blood.' Watched the first two eps, am now watching them again. Seriously y'all, is Sam a werewolf or what? Er, weredog or whatever - that dog keeping an eye on Sookie. God, I hope so. It'll be just like Twilight except not awful. The anti-Twilight!

I heart Anna Paquin. The character could be so annoying, but she's just perfect. Great chemistry with Stephen Moyer (who is selling the Southern gentleman, btw). Their scenes in the woods are crazy hot. And it's always fun learning which bits of mythology keep in this particular universe (unless you're Stephenie Meyer and you've never read/watched anything about vampires). I think my favorite bit so far was the grandmother asking if Bill had lived through the War and if he would speak to her DAC group.

Anywho, two thumbs up for sexy fun vampire times.

Adopt one today!

So, this is nothing to do with vampires, but [livejournal.com profile] coyotegestalt and I are going to see Romeo and Juliet at the Shakespeare Theatre on Friday evening and it just occurred to me that you were around and could therefore be asked to join in . . . so, want in? They're cheap preview week tickets - $12.50, with fees. Plus, y'know, 'twould be nice to see you.

Ooooh, I do want, but I am bound and determined to send off my thesis draft tomorrow, and I suspect I'll be working on it into the evening. Thanks for the offer though - I am definitely up for theatre hijinks once this thesis nonsense is done with :)

Wait, isn't tomorrow Thursday?

Also, if this influences things, we're proposing Elephant and Castle for dinnerish things . . .

Ah, well - good luck, anyway!

And I'll totally get you back in my theatre-going loop now that you're available for such things. I like being able to round up a crowd - and seeing you!

Also, thanks! I expect we will.

Ok, so, I dunno whether you have plans for tonight or whether there are even tickets left, but you really ought to try to get one to see this R&J if you can, because OMG. It's an entirely male cast and the guys playing the female roles to a fantastic job with both taking it to a v. 17th century place and making it believable at the same time. So. Cheap tickets. Get on it!

And, um, the next major thing up will be Twelfth Night, in December! Stay Tuned for further news.

Not on HBO's website or Hulu so far, but then again those are the only sources I know about (apart from the iheart communities, which is where I do my TV finding).
