A Telephone Conversation In One Act:
Dala: Hi, I'm calling to ask about the procedures for binding Masters dissertations. I know that they can be softbound, but can they be coil- or comb-bound?
Girl In PG Office: Well, most of them aren't...
Dala: I know, but I've chosen to have mine softbound.
GIPGO: The details are all in your Masters handbook.
Dala: I checked and it only says they can be hard- or softbound. I need to know if it has to be bound like a paperback book or if either of those two methods can be used, and if there's a preference between the two.
GIPGO: Let me check this link...
(minute of silence/typing)
GIPGO: Well, you should really ask your supervisor - like I said, most of them are properly bound -
Dala: I asked him, and he thought it would be acceptable but I should check with the office if I can have it comb-bound or coil-bound.
GIPGO: Well, most of them aren't...
Dala: I. Know. I just want to know if the office will accept a coil-bound or comb-bound copy.
GIPGO: Yes, it will be accepted.

Sigh. That was a long damn conversation for a one-word answer.
