*bouncebounce* I have decided on a Halloween costume! First I was thinking about reprising Indiana Jones from senior year, but that has several drawbacks. One, I borrowed John Henry's fedora for that one and replacing it with a cheap costume store version would be a letdown. Two, I no longer have a pair of khaki pants. Three, I don't particularly like wearing khaki.
So then I remembered that one of my favorite Hallowgreens costume combinations was a couple dressed as Indy annnnnd....Carmen San Diego (which would totally be the crossover to end all crossovers). So I shall be Carmen San Diego.
The excellent part is that I already have a coat. It's wool, which is unfortunate, but it is also long and red. I haven't decided if I'm going to go yellow or black underneath, but I will probably be wearing my boots. That just leaves the hat. From a quick armchair search, I only turned up a red beret at Target and a red felt sort-of cloche from Kohls. The second one might do if I can't find anything else, but we're supposed to be going Halloween shopping (and pumpkin picking) tomorrow so I'll look then. Hell, for all I know Mom has a suitable hat buried in the back of her closet, and possibly a yellow scarf. The coat is hers, after all.
::ponders:: Do I even own red lipstick? And I should borrow some sunglasses, since I broke mine last month (that's two victims this year - this pair broken and the last pair lost at the gym. Sunglasses:me::drummer:Spinal Tap.)
Currently the big night only has Jessie's party lined up - I don't think Katherine or Megan will want to go, but I promised I would. We could always hit the Turtle afterwards, they're bound to be doing something.
