HAPPY HALLOWEEN! I am stuck at work, but at least I'm sort of halfway dressed up in a pirate and/or Johnny Dep fan theme. I'm wearing my gray PotC tshirt (with Jack and Will on it), my favorite hoodie with anchors and stars, my pirate sneakers, my Aztec medallion, and a blue bandana with skulls. My proper costume is still Carmen San Diego - the original coat proved unusable, but I found a cheap red trenchcoat at Forever 21 and a red velvet fedora. Still debating what to wear under it other than fishnets, and if I should go with my tall boots or black heels.

I totally just got an intake from a Romanian mom with a kid named Mina. I am not even making that up.

For no particular reason other than I had fun digging them up, I'm posting links to my Halloween and/or supernatural-themed fic (aside from, er, the usual supernatural elements of PotC). I wrote quite a bit of it back in the day.

As You Were - In which James is possessed and Jack meets a vampire slayer (multi-chaptered, longish)
The Haunting of Fort Charles - In which small Will and Elizabeth investigate a haunting.
Touch, Feel, and Lose - In which James is an empath spying on a prisoner.
Ships In the Night - In which the Pearl encounters a different version of the Flying Dutchman.
Within a Mile of Home - In which Bill Turner returns to see his son when the veil between worlds is thin.
Things That Go Bump In the Night - In which strange things begin to happen to Jack.
Brilliant Disguise - In which Will Turner attends the Halloween party of his eccentric billionaire boss (modern-day AU known as the Kiltverse).
Hair of the Dog - In which Jack and Will have done something stupid on Halloween (Kiltverse).
Lamentations - In which Jack is visited by spirits three (post-DMC).
Creature Comforts - In which Will adopts a beastie.
And probably my favorite:
Linger - In which James Norrington finds himself haunted.

So who wants to Halloween-spam me? (Work appropriate) links, costume stories, favorite candy, etc - it's another slow day and I need something besides Bram Stoker on Project Gutenberg to keep me company.
Mood:: 'happy' happy

I was out with my older brother and his friend, going from house to house, and one guy gave us the candy and then asked, "So where's the trick?" I said the only thing I could think of: "Egad, your pants are dissolving!" He did a double-take to look down at them, and we all laughed.
