First, that end-of-the-year fandom meme, from pretty much my whole flist:

Your main fandom of the year? PotC, as always - though less so than ever before, which saddens me.

Your favourite film watched this year? Probably "Wall-E." I've watched it three times since I got it for Christmas, and it only gets better.

Your favourite book read this year? Dude, there were a bunch. People of the Book by Geraldine Brooks, Black Ships by Jo Graham, The Book Thief by Markus Zusak, The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman, Lincoln's Dreams by Connie Willis...

Your favourite album or song to listen to this year? ...I listened to the "Twilight" soundtrack incessantly for two weeks straight, and yes I am ashamed. I also fell hard for Ray LaMontagne, especially the song "Hannah." And I loved the "Mamma Mia" movie soundtrack.

Your favourite TV show of the year? BSG first. Then "Gossip Girl," HIMYM, "The Office," "True Blood," and "The Tudors" (the second season was actually really, really good.)

Your favourite LJ community of the year? Um...the ones that saved me when I was away from American TV and Blockbuster, which I cannot name.

Your best new fandom discovery of the year? Shit, man, I couldn't think of anything and then I had to admit it: I got so much amusement out of everything that is Twilight.

Your biggest fandom disappointment of the year? The gutless cop-out that ended "The Golden Compass". What happened in the S2 finale of "Robin Hood" was a travesty and I don't know how I'll get through S3. I was also disappointed that "Heroes" officially lost my interest and faith, right around when they killed off Elle.

Your TV boyfriend of the year? I guess Sam Anders. He constantly needs a hug. And Duff from "Ace of Cakes."

Your TV girlfriend of the year? Blair Waldorf.

Your biggest squee moment of the year? This moment on BSG: "I love you." "About time." Shrieks of joy, that one. Also when Jim proposed to Pam. And sitting in the theater with twenty archaeologists as the Indiana Jones Theme started up.

The most missed of your old fandoms? I miss my greater involvement in PotC, and its more active days in general.

The fandom you haven't tried yet, but want to? I need to finish watching "Merlin" so I can read some fic recs, though I doubt I'll be writing for it. I'd also like to try to at least lurk in SW, because I'm still feeling very re-fannish - but I don't really know where it is on LJ and I'm not particularly interested in the PT.

Your biggest fan anticipations for the New Year? BSG coming back, for DAMN sure, and then "Caprica" after that. I can't wait to see the Wolverine movie (NOW WITH GAMBIT). More Twilight-related lols, especially if they recast Jacob and/or RPattz finally loses it and cuts a bloody swath through the fangirls. Oh, and apparently Baz Luhrman is going to make "The Great Gatsby"? Which whenever it's cast/written/filmed/released will cause me to freak the fuck out, for good or for ill I cannot yet say..
