So, there's a website called VIN.com, which is a huge international network of veterinarians who come together to vent about stupid owners and evil bosses and gab like LJers share knowledge and professional support and help each other manage cases--I joke but it is seriously the best thing ever on the internet, it's basically a 24-hour free consult from millions of veterinarians--anyway there's a "Professional Stress" board, and a lot of the stuff I've gotten from VIN has been medical, okay, but the most important stuff I've gotten has come from the PS board, and among that, our three tenets for a happy and successful life and career:
1. You can't cure stupid. 2. You are not responsible for the mental health and well-being of the entire world. 3. You can't care about other people's pets more than they do.
I'm not saying it was DEFINITELY posted by a VINner--but I won't be surprised when someone confesses :)
