"Star Trek" was...AWESOME.

It was so awesome, in fact, that I came thisclose to sneaking into the next showing next door. Instead I came home and popped in the first season DVD (so I'm not one of those fans*, you know?)

MR. LUCAS I'M SORRY! (BUT SOMETIMES YOU BRING THIS ON YOURSELF YOU KNOW)

So, um, is it weird that I pretty much just want to ship crewmember/crewmember in endless variations? But especially Spock/Uhura, Kirk/Bones, Kirk/Spock*, Uhura/Spock/Kirk and Sulu/Chekov.

Seriously, best casting ever. We can has next movie now? I'm so jazzed, I wasn't expecting to be this into it. Dad says, "I almost cried, I was so happy."

*which honestly I didn't even really ping on until Leonard Nimoy showed up and totally gave Kirk the eye. Then I got it, and happily applied it to Zach Quinto and Chris Pine. And is it just me, or did he later basically say to Young Spock, "Yeah, I made him think it would cause a rift in the space-time continuum so you guys could hook up, DON'T LET ME DOWN"? Old Spock is a pervy K/S fancier!

**although I still really really really want to read fic with this specific movie canon. A lot.
