the Dalaverse

I've submerged so deep in Trek that I think - I think I'm starting to find William Shatner...attractive.

I realize that, empirically, that is kind of the point of him. But y'all, I have been culturally conditioned to not find William Shatner attractive! Or to take him seriously in any way! WHAT IS GOING ON!

I just watched the one with the hot/not hot chicks, and a. it reminded me of "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (which I DESPISE) and b. it cracks me up how all they did to make them not hot was take off their makeup. Oh, '60s style, you are so bad at pretending to be futuristic. Quite like this one with Lurch and the androids, though it is the second double-Kirk ep of the day.

It is rather strange to interact fannishly with my dad. We squee together over the canon and then I somehow refrain from saying, "K, am off to read about KIRK AND SPOCK DOING IT VULCAN STYLE."

Seeing the movie again tomorrow, and I will remember to find Groves! Third time, I think, will have to be IMAX - I just don't have the energy to go downtown or drive to Columbia right now.
