Just came back from a second viewing of "Star Trek," during which [livejournal.com profile] tricksterquinn and I babbled incoherently at each other the whole time. It remains totally awesome. It may have even edged over into more awesome the second time, because I noticed something new: during the cave scene, Spock's voice is all echoe-y due to the mind meld. There's a point at which it becomes very faint, which I first thought was due to a burp in the sound system or something. Second time around, I noticed this: Spock's voice fades out when he gets to the part about the Kelvin, and someone else says clearly, "No." I thought it might be Nero because he's onscreen at the time, but Nero is just breathing hard, not speaking, and anyway he's got no reason to protest the destruction of the Kelvin. So I can only assume it's Kirk who says "No," watching the death of his father.

Um...so this isn't hugely significant or relevant to the plot or anything. It was just a bit of something I liked.

So, in conclusion: Go. See. I'm gonna try to post recs tomorrow.

Collecting shiny new icons is funnnn.
