Man, I've got it bad. How bad? I actually woke myself up last night because fic popped into my head almost fully formed. Rolled out of bed, grabbed my glasses, turned on the desk light, opened the laptop and wrote ::shakes head:: This one is Kirk/Spock. I'm still working on Spock/Uhura, but there seem to be three separate-but-similar stories and they're not sure if they want to be one, or even two. It is highly illogical.
Downloaded the soundtrack last night because I keep getting the music from the first time we see the Enterprise stuck in my head. It's basically bog-standard sci-fi/action themes throughout, but that's a nice bit. My favorite, though, is the music from the end of the Kelvin sequence because it's pretty and sad, and I love that part of the film so much. Kudos to the writers and the actors for earning my emotional investment in anyone named Kirk from minute one (and I was not particularly inclined to like Kirk, or Chris Pine for that matter as he was the only person in the cast I had never seen). I didn't know it was coming the first time and I cried; I was expecting it the second time and there were still tears.
Still progressing through TOS. I'm halfway through the "Menagerie" two-parter right now. I like Pike Original Recipe. Kirk's "quarterly physical" from a couple episodes back is the gayest thing I have yet seen (although I understand there's a whole Spock-backrub plot coming up, so I reserve the right to reassess). I bet McCoy only demanded yearly physicals from everybody else.
Also, Blair Waldorf would like to offer some sage advice to the lady guests aboard the Enterprise: TIGHTS ARE NOT PANTS. It is true today, it was true forty years ago, and I am sure it will be true two hundred years in the future.
Um, I swear I will post about other stuff someday. Like, I'm excited that Adam Lambert and Kris Allen are the final two on AI! There you go. Adam will win. I can't believe Simon personally called Bono to ask him to let Adam sing "One."

hahahaha
Provided anyone could get Blair into the pseudo-military, she would be a mighty asset indeed.

Georgina would be secretly funding the Romulans/Klingons/Borg/whatever provided they could kill Blair.

The logical conclusion is, of course, to combine the stories and embrace the possibilities of Kirk/Spock/Uhura. ;-)
