Someone talk me out of using Paula Deen for McCoy's mom?

It's just, she would be totally charmed by Kirk and pinch his cute little butt and make him fried chicken and apple pie! And she would purse her lips whenever McCoy's ex was brought up and call her a hussy under her breath! I checked Memory Alpha and his mother isn't named so it's not even going against canon!

Sigh. I almost faked sick at work today to go home and write. Well, I did still write, but only a couple of pages. I'm working on it now, but there's sleep and Idol and all that.

Speaking of which, I heart Adam Lambert. He's the only person in eight years I've felt lived up to Kelly Clarkson. I think I will actually vote tonight.

ETA: This is rather a lot of white boys singing classic soul/protest anthems. I'm just saying.

Because there's no way McCoy would marry a woman his mother would call a hussy. His mother would be a lady to fit a gentleman.
