Dad made me Indian for dinner tonight, but unfortunately forgot to dial back his own personal tolerance for spicy. Um, I ate some of the chicken? But I couldn't handle the sauce and rice. So instead I have chosen to have Drunken Goat Cheese (which is what happens when you go into Whole Foods without having eaten anything yet that day) and red wine for dinner. I feel like this adequately covers my nutritional needs.
Okay, so this Mastercard commercial with Alyson Hannigan and Peyton Manning - cutest thing ever, y/y? There's seriously like eight different kinds of cute in this one advert.
I forgot to mention that I bought my Trek on Tuesday! I HAS A STAR TREK, Y'ALL. I did my research and chose the Target special edition DVD, which comes not with a traditional DVD case, but a plastic Enterprise that holds the discs and sits on a stand and REALLY brings the room together. So far I've only watched the deleted scenes; will probably have more organized thoughts on them later. I might even do a liveblog watching the whole thing, mostly to amuse myself.
Speaking of which, I also forgot to mention that
tricksterquinn and I have officially named the apartment, and everything in it, in fandom's name. It all started when we set up the wireless network last week, which obviously had to have a fannish moniker. Therefore it only made sense to name the living room The Bridge, and everything kind of snowballed from there. The outer hallway/door/tiny foyer is the transporter room, obviously. The dining room (in theory; it doesn't actually have anything but a bookcase and a desk chair in there right now) is the holodeck. The kitchen is Engineering, due to its potential for getting shit blown up in it. The deck is the observation deck. The bedrooms are, obviously, officers' quarters (mine even has a captain's bed!). I think we settled on calling the bathroom the 'fresher, as we couldn't think of anything else. Jeffries tube, maybe? I dunno about the coat closet and linen closet. Suggestions, anyone?
Man, I am chatty today. Obviously the wine isn't helping.
Oh! And Ness nd I have our tickets for "New Moon" tomorrow! SHUT UP, WE DO IT FOR THE LULZ. It seems the two of us seeing Twilight movies on opening day will become a tradition, much like the Harry Potter opening day tradition from way back in high school (except for that time I forgot it was coming out on a Wednesday so we were two days late. I think that was GoF?) And I haven't seen her in forever, not since she got back from Thailand, so we really are in need of a roomie date.
OMG one of the GREAT live versions of "Shelter From the Storm" ('76-ish, maybe?) is on "FlashForward"! I knew there was a reason I watched the show beside the Davenport and the Choverlord. This is the second time they've ended an ep with Dylan, actually. Works on me like a charm.

I love this! :)
My laptop is Boromir, my wireless network at home is James Norrington, my tower computer is Will Turner, and my hard drives have other fannish names, so I'm totally with you on naming rooms. Good choices! :)
