the Dalaverse

Okay, so "The One Where No One's Ready" is on and it's my favorite "Friends" episode BY FAR. It has so many delightful moments in it. Crazy Monica! Dippy (but not completely moronic) Phoebe and her Christmas ornament brooch! Joey + Chandler + "Could I BE wearing any more clothes?" And my favorite, the Ross/Rachel bits before that relationship got so drawn-out and annoying: "You were gonna drink the fat!" And how fabulous does Jennifer Aniston look in that green dress at the end? It got so stupid later than I didn't care about them ending up together, but I was so into Ross/Rachel in the beginning. The first time they break up, after Coffee Shop Girl, still breaks my heart.

Am waiting for my beef stew to finish cooking. I bought a crock pot at Target and put together some stew (I need to learn how to chop for maximum efficiency, for reals) and it's looking good, but the carrots are still cooking. Note to self: always add more Worcestershire sauce. Also maybe some red wine, next time.

Also writing. It is a really old prompt from the old kink meme that, er...well fuck it, it's my own prompt. Nobody filled it, okay? And right after I posted it I was like "I should totally write that!" And lo, months later, I have. Well, almost.

It's just been such a pleasant day. It snowed and was pretty, Bones and I survived driving in said snow for the first time, I did some actual cooking and now I'm relaxing with a mug of hot chocolate. Fuck, I love winter.

ETA: Now it is time for SNL, which I have recently started watching again even though it's consistently not very good (My girl Taylor Swift being the surprising exception to the rule). Look, I know Blake Lively's not that good an actress - I watch "Gossip Girl," so I know. But she is so insanely beautiful that I don't care. Her boobs, like, turn me into a heterosexual teenage boy. BLAKE LIVELY'S CHESTICLES TURN ME INTO JIM KIRK, GUYS.

...I may have had some cider with my stew. Which turned out pretty well - a little bland but the meat was really tender. Go crockpot!
