Just watched the latest episode of "Supernatural," and mostly it made me want to read Lamb even more than I already always do on Easter. Because really, my first thought when Castiel charged them with finding Joshua was "Yes, but where is Biff?" He would so have been on board with Dean's triplets. (I liked actual Joshua, but really TBTB, you went with Magical Negro Gardener?) It was nice to see Pamela again; I don't remember Ash, but I appreciated the little moment he took for Jo and Ellen nonetheless. It was heartbreaking to see Dean's memories and then Sam's Dean-less memories (Jared squealing "Bones!" was adorable). Overall I thought it was well done.
Oh, and I also answered the question of where God was: "Playing Skee Ball, duh."
I tell you what, it's much easier coming back to a quiet apartment after spending the day with my nutbar extended family. It was both the usual Easter gathering at Grandma's house and a joint birthday party for my little cousins Lauren, Alison (they're sisters and they have the same birthday, poor things), and Sarah. The annual Easter egg hunt was not as successful as usual because we didn't have enough eggs and someone let the big kids out too early - the little ones are supposed to get a head start so they can get all the eggs hidden in plain sight. But almost everybody was there, except for Beth because her kids have the flu. And I got to hold The Baby, who right now is Nathan but this time next year will be the baby girl Nancy is having in July. I don't know whose turn it'll be to produce a fresh infant next. Not mine, we can assume.
Hope everyone who celebrates had a lovely Zombie Jesus Day and for those of you who don't, a lovely weekend :)
My name for this icon is "boycrush <3 girlcrush." God bless the casting director of "Carriers" for putting Captain Fine and Piper Perabo in a movie together.
Do I really have to go to work tomorrow? Are you sure?
