You've watched the Hornblower A&E miniseries, right? There is a big fic community for the books and the movies.

I watched one of them over the holidays -- don't remember what it was called, but they were defending a bridge and there was a crazy French guy randomly guillotining people. I was mesmerized by Ioan Gruffud's curly hair (I have a weakness for guys with curly hair :)) I know my dad has the rest of them lying around on tape somewhere. He's a fanboy. I must've inherited it. I'll probably have to dive into the fandom at some point.

Definitely watch and then come read some fanfic =).

There are some very pretty men in these movies. The best books are probably Beat to Quarters and the two after it.

If you'd friended me, say, 3 months ago, you would see me not being able to stop talking about Hornblower, books and movies.
