Christmas sort of snuck up on me this year; I finished gift-buying today and didn't put the ornaments up on the tree until Wednesday night. I also changed the dolls into their Christmas dresses, and I would just like you to know that they are INCOMPLETE because Samantha is missing her hair ribbon, Kirsten is missing her striped St. Lucia socks, and Felicity is missing my her favorite stomacher. Addy has all her stuff, but then Addy possesses less stuff. ...Shut up it really bothers me don't judge).
Usually it's a couple of weeks where I want to take in nothing but holiday-themed media, but really it's just been the past couple of days. We watched the Christmas episodes of "Grey's Anatomy," "Veronica Mars," "The Big Bang Theory," and "Supernatural," all of which happen to eb some of my favorites in the series. I might see if I can squeeze in "Amends" tonight even though yeaaaah, not so much.
Oh, and I did start the sporadically annual rereading of The Cat Who Came for Christmas, because we actually have a kitty for Christmas! Only temporary - he belongs to one of Quinn's friends who is out of town. Y'all, I think I might need to get a cat. I have gone a year and two months without a pet, and that's the longest time since I was born - since before I was born, technically. I am an animal person; I don't feel complete without something furry to love and take care of. Given a choice between the two I would rather have a dog, but since I can't at the moment, I would really like to have a cat again. I just want a cat I can love as much as Snake.
I think I need to make more gingerbread before the season is over. I used Paula Deen's recipe and it turned out amazing. I wish I could send gingerbread out over the internets, is how good it is. Paula never lets me down.
