So, the scene: I was out to dinner with the parents. My mother was doing 95% of the talking while my dad and I dug into dinner, as per usual. She was talking about her best friend's son, who is on the debate team at his high school.
Mom: Apparently he's very good as debating.
Me: Would you say he was a master debater?
Mom: Yes, he's really good!
Seriously. SERIOUSLY. How often does this happen in real life? Never. And the best part is, not only did she walk right into it, I then had to explain it. The response I got was a lofty "well, I guess I just don't have a dirty mind like you all" (those of you who have met my mother will have no problem imagining this). Of course I had to immediately tell everybody I ever met.
Annnnd that takes care of one thing I didn't even know was on my bucket list,
