Query: If I don't find Tony Todd attractive (aside from dat voice), and I don't generally find Klingons attractive, why then am I wildly attracted to Tony Todd playing a Klingon?

Talk amongst yourselves.

I have no real investment in Cumberbatch; I like "Sherlock" but he doesn't do anything for me in that or almost anything else. But as John Harrison/Khan? ERGGHHHHHHHARRRRRDROOOOOOOL

No, I can't explain it. No, it is completely independent of my thoughts that they should have probably cast an actor of a different ethnicity. But there it is. I would eat it with a spoon.

Heh - I was coming in here to say that although I have no real interest in Benedict, and he leaves me cold as Khan, I am in love with him as Sherlock! I think it's the hair.

Also, I'm afraid I can't find Tony Todd attractive as a Klingon because Candyman terrified me to my very soul when I stupidly watched it at a friend's house when I was 16 and I now cannot look Tony Todd, bathroom mirrors or bees in the eye. *shiver*

Curly hair works for me in some quarters and not in others; Chris Barrie and his auburn curls on "Red Dwarf" do far more for me than his straight-cut smoothed hair in "Tomb Raider" for example.

Girls are weird this way. LOL

Yes! I haven't even seen "Candyman," but I know it's him. But somehow he looks really good with the Klingon makeup, idk. I didn't know it was him at first until I recognized his voice.

I have problems with the Cumberthing's face because it is not of this earth, but he did get in excellent shape for Khan and the black-from-head-to-toe suits his leggy frame.

Two negatives = a positive? I don't know. But then, I *do* find Klingons attractive.

Do you find Christopher Lloyd as a Klingon attractive?

Mmm, not him in particular. I was speaking more generally.

Ha, in my still-nascent knowledge of TNG last year I had never seen Michael Dorn without the makeup, then saw him at DragonCon and did a double-take because I had no idea he was that handsome.

There's something about Tony Todd's bone structure that goes well with the Klingon makeup and facial hair. And his voice - your memorable Klingons have to have distinctive voices.

You should've seen him in the 90s. He's still a handsome man, but damn.

Anyway, the Klingons. It's not that they were physically good-looking, although some of them definitely were. There's just something magnetic about them, and I love the way their culture was allowed to develop over the course of TOS, TNG, and DS9. They were so interesting. And bad-ass.
