What have you been up to? Major life changes? Same old same old?
It was a really long and fairly rough summer, and I am SO glad it's over. I moved in August - new apartment, same roommate. It's a little cheaper which is the best part about it. Work is still good; it's been stressful lately but should be settling down soon. I'm back to an actual training schedule so that's helping to keep me sane.

What fandom are you in/do you spend most of your time in?
I haven't done much fandoming lately. I experienced a resurgence of PotC feels in the spring, but it fell off after Christopher died. Still doing the Kirk/McCoy thing, if quietly. I've been rereading fic lately and remembering the good old days.

Where do you hang out online?
Still here - I don't comment much, though I'd like to change that. Facebook, when I can ignore the slew of "look how perfect and happy my life is" posts. Slate (not for comments, just for reading).

What are you reading?
It's the start of Halloween season, so I'm planning my Stephen King for this year - starting off with Full Dark, No Stars (also probably some books about serial killers). Working through Wool by Hugh Howey only because a friend lent it to me (it's not very good). And I'm feeling the need to relive my horsey youth, so I've been burning through the Thoroughbred series when I need light reading.

What are you watching?
Just finished yet another rewatch of Parks & Rec, my happy place. Waiting for Netflix to add the last season and resisting the urge to start it over from the beginning. I'm back to TNG in the hopes that I can watch all the Trek before next summer's con. I held my nose through the last half-season of Once Upon a Time, which I had quit watching but they're doing Merida this season so I got sucked back in. Oh, and I need to catch up on the last season of The Walking Dead before it starts back up. I have a bunch more network shows...I watch a healthy amount of TV.

What are you making?
Just found the skull pattern scarf I was working on last fall, so maybe will finish that in time for Halloween? I really would like to start writing again.

What are you squeeing about today?
Actually, now that I think about it, my current active fandom is Day Designer. I've never been a planner person in my entire life, but I'm completely obsessed with it and it's helping me get all kinds of shit done. For example, I put writing this post on my to-do list and voila, it is done. Also, I saw "Inside Out" recently and it hit me really hard (more than the usual Pixar film). Kind of hard to explain, but it helped me understand some things about how my brain works and how I process emotions. So basically the stupid day planner and "Inside Out" have changed my life recently.

Oh, and I'm SUPER excited about Star Wars. PLEASE BE GOOD.

If you could rope old fandom friends into a new fandom, it would be...
I hope that The Force Awakens is amazing, and I hope the fandom follows suit.

I should really watch/read/dive into _______ and then come talk to you about it!
I don't think I have anything for this one...it'd be fun to journey through Trek with someone, though.

What else is on your mind?
Trying to get various aspects of my life in order, including finances and my training schedule (I have a half coming up and have committed to a marathon in March).
