It's the Fourth of July and I'm feeling a little down. Lesser holidays where I don't really have plans often do this -- just something about observing the passage of time, I guess.

But on the other hand, the Twilight Zone ep "Time Enough At Last" is on, and it's one of my favorite stories in any medium. I never get tired of it, and I usually manage to catch it on the New Year's/July 4th marathons (I think Twilight Zone is still on Netflix, but it's more satisfying to plan around the marathon).

Hey sweetie: I no longer like the 4th since we have animals. The proliferation of fireworks in the neighborhoods reduces them to quivering masses of terror as the booms seem to go on for hours. So am glad it's done!
