Jack is a very evil pirate. I mean, his being so ill again had me sitting here all mushy and going "Aaaww" full of pity for poorpoor Jack - and he was *faking* it. Jack, this is *not* very nice! Aside from that, I really like the way you weave in bits of James's memories - very fragmentary and jet enough to make it so understandable why he (is trying to) resent(s) Jack. And I totally second firesignwriter's thoughts of Jack/Bootstrap. Very nice first-kiss-chapter!!!
