Attention pirate folk:

There is a PotC tapestry throw at Hot Topic.

The t-shirts are one thing. I am frankly a bit umcomfortable having Johnny Depp and/or Orlando Bloom emblazoned on my chest, because then I would be compelled to stroke my chest all the time and people would look at me askance.

But TO SLEEP UNDER TEH PIRATE BOYZ????

It's that shot of Jack and Will shipboard where Will is looking intently off into the distance and I think Jack has his hand on Will's shoulder and he may be pointing off to wherever Will is looking.

I cannot find it on their fucking website. But I assure you, IT WAS THERE (and the website does have the Legolas throw, which I also saw in-store. So maybe it's just not Internet-ready yet). It was hanging all high up so I couldn't get at it (probably a Good Thing because my first impulse was to grab it and run far far away), but the Legolas one is $45 so it's probably the same.

Dude. Vanessa is going to be SO excited. This will be the room decoration triumph of the year.

So yes, Captain Jack Sparrow and Mister Will Turner, neatly stitched and ready to be spread across Dala's bed...

(maybe I'm the only one really, really inordinately excited about this discovery? ::shuffles feet::)

Um, Eagles fans (meaning the band, not the NFL team), look away.

EWW EWW EWW. They did that stupid fucking song about Johnny Come Lately and the new kid in town? They used to play that over the loudspeaker as Penneys, it was part of the collection of Music for Dala to Kill Herself By. It did not swing me quite as far to the "GAHHH DEATH IS THE ONLY OPTION" end of the spectrum as, say, "Only Time" (oh God, I've invoked it now...) but I still hated it truly, madly, deeply.

Yeah. I am not an Eagles fan, with the single exception of "Take It Easy," and they wrote that with Jackson Browne (and you can hear it, too) so I figure it doesn't count. But I wasn't aware they had recorded this particular awful song.

::shudders:: I just do not get the Eagles. Them and Pink Floyd. I'm sure I'll get my classic rock badge taken away for that, but I care not. I can't stand Don Henley's voice and they're a bit too much on the country side.

All right, back to copying individual songs from Dad's CD collection. Working backwards, on letter E (obviously), so nearly done.

::frowns:: Why does the Baez Sings Dylan CD not have her version of "Sad Eyed Lady of the Lowlands"? It is lovely and I want it and apparently we only have it on vinyl.

*sigh* I did not just order both "Kill Bill" soundtracks from amazon.

YOU BUY THEM TOGETHER AND YOU SAVE! SAVE SAVE SAVE!!!!!

...I have no willpower.

But I'm completely obsessed with that remix of "About Her" and Some-Other-Song. I watched that part of the scene five times before I had to take the movie back to Blockbusters.

Speaking of which, I am totally springing for Netflix this year. I need my movies, dammit. Plus I can get tons of stuff I'd never be able to find at the dinky little Lex Park video stores. Or I hope so, at least. It's not too pricey, right? $20-30 a month? ::quietly panics::

People down south caught in the hurricane, my thoughts are with ya'll.

Last spam for...awhile. I promise.
